Nine Elements of Creation

This is a description of the world based on ancient Indian philosophy. It provides a complete picture of the universe and everything in it starting with God and including consciousness, mind, heart, body and all physical and metaphysical things.
The 9 Elements are often represented on a nine-point circle beginning with the number 1 and continuing round to the number 9. Each point stands for an element.

The names of the elements were first expressed in Sanskrit, the ancient language of India in which the philosophical and scriptural texts were written. The names are difficult to translate.

1 Brahman - the Absolute
This is the first element and is synonomous with God, Consciousness or the Innermost Self. It is the starting point from which everything else comes.

2 Avyakta Prakriti - Unmanifest Nature

3 Vyakta Prakriti - Manifest Nature

4 Mahattatva - Feeling of Existence

5. Akasha - Ether or Space

6 Vayu - Air

7 Tejas - Fire

8 Jala - Water

9 Prithivi - Earth
